Where and when?

We meet every week during term at 7.45pm on Mondays. The location can vary.

On our Discord Server, we have a channel called #monday-nights for questions.

The location is usually at Jesus College (pinned on the map) but some meetings are held online via Discord.

Send an email to us or fill out this poll and we'll add you. We send out emails every week with information about the time and place of the meeting and the theme for the episodes we'll be watching.

Monday Nights

  • Week 1 (Mon 28 Apr): "They're too many minds. I can't shut them out. I never could learn. All their loves, their hates, their fears, their needs. It's like a tide that never ebbs. I could drown." (Episodes in which telepathy plays a prominent role)
  • Week 2 (Mon 5 May): "This Bajoran obsession with alleged Cardassian improprieties during the occupation is really quite distasteful." (Episodes focusing on Cardassians)
  • Week 3 (Mon 12 May): "All the Galaxy is a Stage" (Episodes referencing Shakespeare)
  • Week 4 (Mon 19 May): "Sir... as my final duty as acting captain... I order you to bed." (Episodes about or involving sleep, and characters struggling with sleep)
  • Week 5 (Mon 26 May): “At the negotiating table, it can be fatal to have a heart…” (Episodes about negotiation)
  • Week 6 (Mon 2 Jun): "Anyway, let's move on to somebody even more important, perhaps the most important person in Starfleet history, Chief Miles O'Brien.” (Episodes about chief O'Brien!)
  • Week 7 (Mon 9 Jun): “Computers make excellent servants, but I would not wish to serve under them” (Episodes depicting synthetic lifeforms and artificial intelligences)
  • Week 8 (Mon 16 Jun): “Only peace, sunshine and good air. You'll have no problems." (A summer theme: Episodes featuring a lot of Sunshine)
